Nonfat Media

The Nonfat Team

Our job is to make your ideas happen. If you're looking for a simple, good-looking Web site, we can do that. Or if you need help conceptualizing and building a complex online business from the ground up, we can do that, too.

Content management, e-commerce, publishing and syndication, e-learning, document management, workflow, intranets, extranets, even desktop and mobile applications ... you name it, we've done it, and for some of the biggest names out there.

Owen Knapp
Director of Software Development

Owen Knapp formed Nonfat Media in January of 2004. He has been developing websites & web-based applications in the entertainment industry for over 15 years.

He is a supporter and advocate of Adobe ColdFusion & passionate about building custom, rich and bulletproof software.

You can nerd out with Owen on his blog letskillowen.com

John Cornelius
Coordinator of Information and Resources

John has been seen in the vicinity of computers and programmers for decades. There are rumors that he has used a computer for something other than web browsing and email but these are unsubstantiated. His actual duties are unclear but he has a penchant for sweater vests and sensible shoes.

Kevin Linder
Senior Web Application Developer

Kevin started with Nonfat Media in 2009. He has been working with ColdFusion for over 10 years. In addition he also has experience with Java, C++, Perl, Objective-C and assembly. When he isn't helping troubleshoot and fix issues he is often training and running in various marathons.

Christian Acapulco
Project Manager

Coming from an abnormally tall family, Christian's rise to success (see what we did there?) started early. His former elementary school teacher Ms. Stenenbocker recalls nothing about him, but she's sure he had aspirations...

Steve Gifford
User Experience Designer

Steve Gifford has been designing websites for ten years, with work ranging from online marketing to full-scale web applications.

He dreams of a world where all HTML validates equally.

Stephen Ivory III
Systems Engineer

Stephen joined Nonfat Media in 2010 when it was decided we really should invest in a computer for the company. Developers screamed loudly (though were often unheard) of how impractical it was to write code on paper with pen and Stephen listened and resolved the issue in quite a timely manor.

You can often find Stephen behind one of his 6 monitors staring intently.

Bob Thumpette
Web Application Developer

Mixing the vigilant focus of an ice road trucker with the foolhardy brashness of a treasure-hunter, Bob Thumpett is a ColdFusion developer who's not afraid to try new technologies and strives for smart, well-written code. He believes in documentation, bug-free applications and daring attempts to make software galvanize the world.

Art Holland
Web Application Developer

Art has been dabbling with ColdFusion since back when it was still warm. In various forms he's been involved with the web since it's earliest days and yet, he is the freshest member of Team Nonfat.

Mike Quach
QA Analyst

After responding to an ad on craigslist for a plumber (Emory had clogged up the bathroom once again) we quickly realized that Mike knew absolutely nothing about plumbing.

With the rest of the staff having to use a trashcan for weeks we finally decided to find a different role for Mike.

Kenneth MacKenzie
Web Application Developer

Developin' CF applications fur years an' drivin' a huir uv a lang distance tae dae sae, wee Kenny (as he's affectionately known) was smuggled intae th' United States years ago by way ay Scottlain.

He continues tae make stoatin strides tae assimilate intae uir culture, but is typically laughed at. Dornt fash yerse, he doesnae ken he's bein' laughed at... sae it's funay.

Marc Cousteau
Web Application Developer

As of today Marc's biggest achievement is kicking Art Holland out of the freshest member of the team slot. Marc has told us he has many fine qualities but prefer to keep them to himself for now. Developing ColdFusion Apps is his calling or so he tells us. I guess we'll have to take him at his word. Thank goodness his 90 days aren't up yet.

Dave Ferguson
Web Application Developer

Dave started working with computers when he hacked the POS system at the restaurant where he was a waiter. Then, after an unfortunate incident with a refrigerator, he starting programming. Now many years later you can find him sharing his experiences in programming by speaking user groups, conferences, and on his ColdFusion Podcast, CFHour.

Gene Huh
Web Application Developer

Gene first started working with ColdFusion back when it was still owned by Allaire. In his spare time, he enjoys training in martial arts, watching movies, following baseball and living through the pain and suffering of supporting Arsenal FC.

Gabriel Arreseigor
QA Analyst

Mean muggin', taking names, and presumably practicing mixed martial arts since the tender age of 5, Gabe asked Owen to write the longest run on sentence he could think of, thus he did, but failed to take in account how hard that actually is, and decided to give up on it shortly before this dot.
